In 2018, Netflix wanted to send a signal to the industry that they are the new major player in top-tier animated content. After attracting talent like Glen Keane (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) and James Baxter (The Lion King, Madagascar) they wanted to share just how special their new animation hub is by allowing these creators to “Draw Netflix”. I interviewed eleven of the industry’s leaders in animation, helped launch a holistic comms plan and exclusive with Variety which ended up being syndicated by other A-List outlets like Engadget, Hollywood Reporter and Deadline Hollywood.
