Unprepared, under fire, and unwilling to surrender. Based on Martha Raddatz’s acclaimed New York Times-bestselling book, The Long Road Home retells the harrowing story of Black Sunday — an ambush on American troops in Sadr City, Iraq in 2004. With this being National Geographic’s most expensive scripted drama series to date, we produced a range of highly stylized, elevated assets ranging from intricate documentaries to scroll-stopping short form content.

Our campaign was nominated for 2 Golden Trailers and won “Most Innovative Advertising For A TV Series/Streaming Series”.

One piece in particular seen above, ‘How The Hell Did We Get Here?’ is a comprehensive timeline of the Iraq war. Incorporating complex animation, original voiceover, as well as archival and found footage, this high-budget piece ended up being the top performing execution of the entire campaign garnering millions of views across all Nat Geo official owned channels, managed channels, and broadcast.
